Q. Who can play in The London Pub Poker Super League ?
A. Anyone who wants to - regardless of experience as long as they are friendly and welcoming to new players. On Tuesday's @ Loose Cannon we run Free Lessons 6-7pm for beginners
Q. I have only Played Online - is it any different playing live?
A. Playing live is much more social and fun, we are a pub league with deliberately low stakes and keep our games friendly but to cardroom rules. The main thing to remember when playing live is to bet in turn and not string bet but these things take seconds to learn at the night.
Q. I want to learn to play poker - Do you offer lessons ?
A. All of our nights are suitable for beginners to learn as they play, with everyone always ready to help a newbie as we were all beginners once - however for dedicated FREE poker Lessons we suggest our Tuesday game as the best place to start.
Q. What is the Super League ?
A. The super League is essentially a bit of fun - our nights are always about the win on the night. However this season we have introduced the super league - players will pay a £1 towards the super league. At the end of November all the £1's will be added up - The winner of the league will get 50% of the total collected from July 21st and the other 50% will be the prize pool for the Winners League Playoffs.
The Winners League Playoffs - will be a tournament for the top 24 players in the league at the end of the season.
Q. I can not play every week but still want to come and play - is that ok?
A.Absolutely, as stated above the league is a bit of fun - we have players who come 2 times a week and players that come every few months.
Last season our Weds League winner had only played a few times to take the trophy down.
